We’re so excited to share that Cornucopia has been shortlisted as a finalist in The Greats Gift Retailer Awards 2026 - for Best In-Store/Window Display!
And if you know us… you’ll know this one means everything.
From winning last year… to this
Last year, we were incredibly lucky to win Independent Gift Retailer of the Year – Midlands & Wales (Best Small Shop).
It was one of those “is this actually happening?” moments.
So to be back again this year - but this time nominated specifically for our window displays and in-store experience - feels really special. Because this is the part of the shop we pour so much of ourselves into.
The windows (aka our pride and joy)
Our windows have never just been about selling products.
They’re about:
- creating a moment that stops you in your tracks
- making someone smile on their way past
- bringing a bit of magic to the high street
(…and occasionally staying up until 3am making it all come together 👀)
From seasonal transformations to the tiny details you might not notice straight away - every display is a labour of love.
What goes on behind the scenes
It usually starts with:
“Shall we just try something…”
And then suddenly we’re:
- covered in glitter
- moving things around for the tenth time
- climbing in and out of the window
- and completely losing track of time
It’s chaotic, creative, and one of our favourite parts of what we do.
Why this nomination means so much
To be recognised for this - the creativity, the storytelling, the atmosphere feels incredibly personal.
And as always, it’s not just us.
It’s our amazing team, and it’s you - every person who stops, takes a photo, shares it, or pops in after spotting the window.
The big night
We’ll be heading to London this May for the awards (black tie… slightly different from our usual shop outfits ).
Whatever happens, we’re just so proud to be part of it again.
