Wearing Our Red Dresses with Pride
Some evenings aren't defined by taking home a trophy.
Sometimes, they're about taking a moment to reflect on just how far you've come.
This year's Greats Gift Retailer Awards was one of those evenings.
We were incredibly proud to be shortlisted in the Best In-Store / Window Display category, standing alongside some of the UK's very best independent retailers. Simply seeing Cornucopia recognised on that list was an achievement in itself.
While the award went to the very deserving Paper Tiger, Edinburgh, we couldn't be prouder to have represented Worcester and to have celebrated everything that makes independent retail so special.
This year, Mum and I decided to wear matching red dresses—a little nod to celebrating together, whatever the outcome. Because at the end of the day, that's what Cornucopia has always been about. Family. Passion. Creativity. And showing up with pride.
Being shortlisted gave us the chance to look back at everything we've created over the past year. The countless hours spent styling windows after closing time, changing displays through every season, hunting for beautiful new products, and creating a shopping experience that we hope inspires everyone who walks through our doors.
Awards are wonderful, but they're never the reason we do what we do.
The real reward is seeing customers return year after year, helping people find the perfect gift, hearing that someone loved what they received, and watching children press their noses against our Christmas windows just as they did years ago.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Cornucopia over the years. Your loyalty, encouragement and kind words mean more than any trophy ever could.
Congratulations to Paper Tiger on their well-deserved win, and to all of the other finalists. It was an honour to be among such inspiring independent retailers.
We'll continue doing what we love - creating beautiful displays, curating collections we genuinely believe in, and welcoming you into our shop with the same passion we've had since 1985.
And yes... we'll definitely be wearing our red dresses again.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
